Self-Worth

No matter what you are on the outside, who you are on the inside is more important. Open your eyes, take off the blindfold. You deserve to have your own spotlight because everybody is something. Even when you feel like nothing, you are something. 

 Luke 12: 6-7 
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

I just wanted to share these little notes I've written for myself in the back of my Bible. I study over these when it come time to take of the offering God provided for us through the sacrifice of his son. Prayer

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: I saw this verse in my church notebook yesterday, and I had an epiphany! I realized that I can change the view of praying for others! This verse says that if we pray for something and it is God’s will, it will be. If it is not God’s will to fulfill that request, then he will not give us a “yes.” He only says “no” when it is not part of his plan, and we have to trust his plan. We have to trust that God knows what is best for us. We have to pray for our good, but we cannot be selfish. When God says no, we cannot hate him for it. God says no for our good because he loves us! God knows what our life will lead to, and he knows how to give us a good life. Trust God and pray, but know that God will say “yes” if it is meant to be. if he say no, he might have something better in store for you! Jesusfreak

Selfless in a Selfish World

Disclaimer: For many months now, I have seen so many photos and posts on social media about leaving "toxic people" out of our lives. I ran across one that read, "Don't do selfless things for selfish people." And I grew furious. I cooled down after a few minutes, but that has stuck with me since I read it. I truly hope this blog does not come across as a rant (even though it may have started out that way). I just want to shed some much-needed light on the subject. The Truest Light. It’s not about how much others give you, it’s about how much you give others. People aren’t perfect, and communication isn’t easy.  But we justify how we treat others by the way they treat us?
