This past weekend, the family reconvened in Oklahoma after a few months of not seeing each other. We celebrated the birthday of the cutest little girl in our family, and spent the days laughing around the table, entertaining the little ones, and creating memories we hope they will cherish forever. It looked like every other time we get together to take a break from the craziness of our everyday lives. But life is changing for me, and my emotions were divided, my thoughts dwelling on what the rest of this year will look like, what my new routine will look like, how the rest of my life will play out. I was ignoring all of my anxious thoughts because I wanted to stop and enjoy where I was this weekend. I wanted to soak in the friendships and family ties that I would miss once we got back on the road home. So I did. I kept my dwelling down to a minimum and my spirits high for the sake of my sanity. And much to my surprise (not real...
I just wanted to share these little notes I've written for myself in the back of my Bible. I study over these when it come time to take of the offering God provided for us through the sacrifice of his son. Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, " This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me . " ----We take the bread, drink of the cup to remember his sacrifice given on the cross. Jesus lived and is alive today, no matter the doubts the devil forces into your mind. When we understand the why, we have a purpose. Your life should reflect his, so has it? Would you die to give the lost of this world the ultimate opportunity to live eternally? Do I love God? Am I willing to obey him? Is his son the most important thing in my life? We partake of the unleavened bread because it represents sincerity and truth; it is pure bread, undefiled before God. Just as we are to keep the church unleavene...
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: I saw this verse in my church notebook yesterday, and I had an epiphany! I realized that I can change the view of praying for others! This verse says that if we pray for something and it is God’s will, it will be. If it is not God’s will to fulfill that request, then he will not give us a “yes.” He only says “no” when it is not part of his plan, and we have to trust his plan. We have to trust that God knows what is best for us. We have to pray for our good, but we cannot be selfish. When God says no, we cannot hate him for it. God says no for our good because he loves us! God knows what our life will lead to, and he knows how to give us a good life. Trust God and pray, but know that God will say “yes” if it is meant to be. if he say no, he might have something better in store for you! Jesusfreak
